PRIVACY & TRUST
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Caribbean Girls Mission of Hope handles information when you visit this website, contact us, express interest in the mission, or use an outside service to give.
Effective August 15, 2026
On this page
1. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide when you use this website or contact us. Depending on what you do, this may include:
- your name, email address, and phone number, if supplied;
- an organization name, area of interest, message, or other details you include in a contact or involvement form;
- the contents of emails or other communications you send to us; and
- donation-related information that an outside payment service or financial institution makes available to CGMOH, such as a donor name, amount, memo, or transaction status.
When the site is visited, hosting and security systems may also process technical data such as an IP address, browser or device type, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, and server or security logs.
2. How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to questions and requests;
- coordinate volunteer, partnership, sponsorship, in-kind giving, and fundraising interest;
- administer or follow up on donation-related communications;
- operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website; and
- meet legal, accounting, safety, or recordkeeping obligations.
3. Cookies and technical data
WordPress, Divi, hosting, security, and form features may use cookies or similar browser storage when needed to operate the site, remember a preference, maintain a session, or help protect forms and pages from misuse. You can limit or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some site features may not work as intended.
If CGMOH later enables analytics or advertising technology, this policy will be updated and any choices required by applicable law will be provided.
4. Donations and third-party services
The current Donate page provides instructions for giving through Zelle. When you choose an outside financial or payment service, information is collected and processed by that service under its own terms and privacy practices. CGMOH may receive information the service or your financial institution makes available so that the gift can be identified, recorded, and acknowledged.
The CGMOH website does not ask you to enter a full payment card number. If an online donation form or another payment method is added later, the privacy notice will be reviewed and updated before that flow is treated as current.
Information may be shared with organizations or professionals that help host, maintain, secure, or operate the website; deliver email; support donation administration; or provide other services requested by CGMOH. Those providers may process information as needed to perform their services and are also governed by their own legal obligations and agreements.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights or safety of CGMOH or others, or in connection with a legitimate organizational transition.
6. How long information is kept
CGMOH keeps information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, security, or recordkeeping needs. The period varies with the type of information and the reason it is held. Information may remain for a limited time in routine backups or records that must be retained by law.
7. Your privacy choices
You may contact us to ask about personal information you have submitted through this website or to request that it be corrected or deleted. Privacy rights and available remedies differ by location. CGMOH may need to verify a request and may retain information when the law permits or requires it.
You can also use your browser controls to manage cookies and similar storage.
8. Children’s privacy
CGMOH’s mission serves girls, families, and communities, but the public forms on this website are intended for adults and, where relevant, parents or guardians. We do not intend to collect personal information directly from a child through these forms without appropriate permission. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child submitted personal information, please contact us so the situation can be reviewed.
9. External links
This website may link to payment services, social platforms, partner sites, or other external resources. CGMOH does not control those services. Their privacy notices explain how they collect, use, and retain information.
10. Security
CGMOH uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled through the website. No website, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive financial, medical, or identity information through general contact forms.
11. Changes to this policy
This notice may be updated when website services or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when an updated policy is published.
